CHESTNUT

Chestnut is a primary base color in horses, also frequently called 'sorrel' (specifically in Quarter Horses and Western circles). It is entirely recessive; because chestnut horses are 'ee', they cannot produce black pigment in their skin hair follicles, leaving only red pigment (pheomelanin).

BUCKSKIN

DUN
